How This Xiaohongshu Downloader Works
Step 1: Copy the Link
Open a public video or image note in the Xiaohongshu / RedNote app (or website). On iPhone, tap the share arrow (often bottom or top-right), then Copy Link. On Android, the Share sheet is usually the arrow on the right of the note — choose Copy link.
What lands on your clipboard varies: many users get a short xhslink.com URL that redirects to the note; others get a longer rednote.com or xiaohongshu.com/explore link with an xsec_token. All three work here when the note is public and the link is fresh.
Sometimes Copy Link pastes a whole share card — title, emoji, and a URL inside the text — not a bare link. That is normal: paste the entire message. Do not strip the short link or delete query parameters from an explore URL.

Step 2: Paste & Parse
